Improved security situation will help regain investors’ trust in Pakistan: Sartaj Aziz

Dr. Manzoor Ahmad, President (Hon) PRIME, Ali Salman, Founder PRIME and Ayesha Bilal, COO PRIME met Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission on Monday, April 23rd 2018 at the Planning Commission Islamabad. The meeting was held to discuss the economic reforms by PML-N over the past five years which were to be analyzed at PRIME conference on April 24th, 2018, where the book by PRIME titled “PML-N Economic Agenda: Between Promises and Performance” was to be launched.

Mr. Sartaj Aziz appreciated PRIME’s efforts and shared that while the book correctly identifies some challenges, the overall performance including security situation and social protection needs to be considered to evaluate the government’s deliverance. The government has been able to uplift the country economically as evident through the growth in GDP and especially the improved performance of the agriculture sector as well as the improved situation of electricity provision in the country. The security situation is also better which is a positive sign for investors. Hence, over the five years much has been gained and challenges are being tacked with positively.
