Dr. Raza Ullah

Raza Ullah teaches at the Department of Management Sciences, Islamia College University Peshawar Pakistan and President of policy research think tank Alternate Solutions Institute. He obtained Ph.D. in Public Administration from the Institute of Management Studies, University of Peshawar, Master in Business and IT and BSc from the University of Peshawar, his doctoral dissertation was on the work of Hernando De Soto’s property rights as a measure for the alleviation of poverty in Pakistan. He has organized and presented at national, international conferences and workshops. He is also associated with different societies and a member of Quality and Productivity Society of Pakistan, American Institute of Pakistan Studies, System Dynamics MIT USA’s Pakistan chapter. He is an alumnus of Atlas Leadership Academy USA and got a Think Tank MBA from the same institute in 2015. He is also policy expert at the United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Inclusive policy lab, and a member of peer expert committee of National Business Education and Accreditation Council (NBEAC) of Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.  Besides the academic and research activities, he has work experience in the corporate sector as well. Raza served as Sales Manager, Product Manager, Marketing Manager, Project Director, and CEO in different commercial organizations. His research work focuses on participatory organizational practices and application of quality philosophy in decision making. He has an interest in poverty alleviation, property rights, participatory practices, quality management, System Dynamics and entrepreneurship. He is the author of 18 research articles and three books.
