Maryam Ayub holds an MPhil in Economics and Finance from the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE).
Her research focuses on macroeconomic policy and development economics, with particular emphasis on public finance, climate finance, poverty analysis, inflation dynamics, and economic security. She has contributed to several policy briefs and research studies, including empirical work on the “New Poor” phenomenon in Pakistan using survey data, analysis of IMF independence, and strategic reviews of CPEC Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
Her areas of specialization include applied macroeconomic and development policy research, econometric techniques, and empirical analysis.
