Rafia Jalil

Rafia is a qualified social scientist, with Masters in Development Studies. Her main professional experience includes implementation research, policy development, and graduate level teaching. Her graduate level research includes: qualitative research on integration of minorities which is a comparative analysis of two minorities living in Pakistan. After the completion of her education she has been engaged with a project funded by University of Leeds to improve public health sector of Pakistan.  Rafia taught “Cities and Development” as a course to Masters level; the course has serious relevance towards the growing urbanization in the country which is further leading to mega-cities. Her other experiences include: public speaking at youth forums to discourage cyber bullying and harassment that women have to face online. She also has been a volunteer working with Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) (since 2009). Presently Rafia is working as an associate with a social enterprise, Reenergia. She is enthusiastic to create awareness about mental health issues especially bullying. She is a Global Shaper at Global Shapers Islamabad Hub- a subsidiary of World Economic Forum and an active member of women’s book club US consulate.
